Giving and Getting in LA
December 9, 2011
Tis the season to give and in that spirit we are launching a new blog which will focus on the philanthropy of L.A. “John, you might be asking, does the world really need another blog?” Yes, I think so.
The fact of the matter is we need to improve our collective ability to bring money into the greater L.A. region to offset the recession of the economy, government funding and fundraising and the rising needs of the most vulnerable populations. As L.A.’s public foundation, we at CCF feel a duty to help funders, donors and nonprofits give and get for the needs of this amazing place we call home.
My goal with this blog is to stimulate thinking and provoke conversations that help us learn from one another and work together. I promise to do this with minimal CCF self-serving messages 🙂
Let me know what you think about our blog and how it can be helpful to you by answering our poll to your right!
